SAFARI DESTINATIONS

Due to the vast areas to be explored and the length of time involved in travel, safari planning is made easier by breaking down safari routes into ‘circuits’. Depending on the amount of time you have for your holiday it’s possible to visit more than one circuit in Tanzania.

Each of Tanzania’s national parks offers something unique – from the alpine landscapes of Kilimanjaro, to the vast savannah of the Serengeti, to where the bush meets the sea in Saadani. With many reliable air transport links in Tanzania, it’s easy to move from one area to another.

A safari wholly within the northern circuit can be accomplished entirely by driving although you should be prepared for some rough roads and long travel days should you choose a drive-only option. The addition of a one-way flight is easily worth the expense should your budget allow it. To move from the north to the west or the south will necessitate flights (often on light aircraft) as will an extension to Zanzibar. Depending on the size of your group, private charter flights can offer more flexibility.
