CLASSIC TENTED CAMPING

Our classic safari camps offer you the opportunity to revive the memory of safaris from a bygone era. You are assured of the cordiality of African hospitality, unique opportunities for adventure and a level of comfort and service unequalled in the African wilderness. Tents are furnished with king-size beds, comfortable mattresses, fresh crisp linen and mosquito nets. A convenient luggage rack, bedside table, reading lamp and torch/flashlight complete the simple but tasteful furnishings. Each tent has an attached bathroom with shaving mirror, washstand, soft towels, soap and shampoo. Hot water for bathing is available throughout the day. Our well-trained camp staff will look after your every need.

MEALS

Classic tented camps have a mess or dining tent where meals are served. Menus include an offering of cuisine from Africa, Asia and continental Europe, all served with a selection of wonderful wines. A wide variety of drinks are offered at the well-stocked bar. Our experienced bar tender will delight in mixing your favorite cocktail but would be just as happy preparing refreshing ice-cold filtered water with a twist of lemon.

ACTIVITIES

Our private campsites are chosen to offer you enjoyment and adventure depending on location and your interests. Activities available from camp range from boat rides to game drives to fully guided walks depending on location and your individual interests.

ADVENTURE CAMPING

Adventure camping is a much simpler affair. Camps are set up in shared or “public” campsites and consist of dome tents with sleeping pads. You provide your own sleeping bag and torch/flashlight and assist with setting up and breaking camp. Water for showers is limited and may not always be available, but the opportunity for fun and adventure is never in short supply. Meals are enjoyed in the open air near the campfire and you’ll be amazed at what our bush cooks can prepare in the middle of the wilderness.
